MBC’s monday-tuesday sitcom ‘What Is Mom’ is surprisingly cancelled.
Following what the representants of the broadcast said on December 5th, in the afternoon,‘What Is Mom’ which aired its 24th episode on the 3rd was decided to be cancelled. The program that will follow up is still undecided.
The representants of the broadcast revealed to Star News on the 5th, in the afternoon “The cancellation decision of ‘What Is Mom’ was made official today (the 5th)’.
The representants disclosed “We are currently notifying the cast of ‘What Is Mom’ of the cancellation, it is planned to air only the 3 episodes already recorded”.
A representant of ‘What Is Mom’ said “We heared about the sudden cancellation information today (the 5th), in the afternoon, from MBC, not only the cast but the staff members are also shocked”.
Another representant added “The shock is big since it’s a sudden cancellation. The viewers started to like it so it’s confusing to hear suddenly that a sitcom that was just starting is cancelled”.
‘What Is Mom’ was broadcasted for the first time on October 9th as a monday-tuesday sitcom, the actors Na Munhee, Ryu Seungsoo, Park Junghak, Park Misun, Kim Seohyung appeared in it. The average viewer ratings for this sitcom were 5% (by the criteria of the audience mesurement company AGB Nielsen media research).
